The importance of the biological safety is obvious and BSC (Biological Safety Cabinet) has become into the basic equipment in many life science loboratories. There are some classes of BSC's defined as class I, II and III depending on the airflow route and safety level.

In Class I BSC, the biological aerosol mixing with the room air enters the chamber and then is delivered to HEPA filtration to remove the biological matters. The clean air is released back to room directly. 

In Class II BSC, besides preventing the air in chamber from emitting out directly, the room air is forbidded to enter the chamber to avoid the cross contamination.  According to the type of airflow circulation, there are two kinds of Class II BSC's, type A2 and B2. DreamLab^® provides both Class I and Class II BSC's.
