Reliable biological safety environment with small footprint

DreamLab^® DL-BSW series Class II Biological Safety Workstations are developed for working with potentially hazardous samples during life science experiments, providing protection to both sample and operator. Airborne contaminants are captured in HEPA filtration before entering the active workspace. The exhaust air is HEPA filtered so harmful particulate is not released into the room. Compared with regular biological safety cabinets, this bench-top workstation has a quite small footprint, convenient to be moved to different sites if necessary. DL-BSW series Class II Biological Safety Workstation is constructed of white polypropylene which does not allow for bacterial build-up and can easily be cleaned with any disinfectant product. To further reduce the threat of cross-contamination, the built-in timed UV light can be used to irradiate work surfaces and tools between samples or cases. Full-closure sash and safety switch prevent operator exposure to UV energy. DLTouch microprocessor controller constantly monitors filter conditions and alerts the user if filter replacement is needed.

How does it work?

Room air enters at A where it is pulled into the lower baffle, a perforate plate under sash, along with a portion of the chamber air.
Air travels through the lower baffle and up the rear baffle. Chamber air is mixed with room air at B before moving into the filtration area at C.
The majority (approx. 70%) of air moves through the HEPA filter at D, providing ISO 5 clean air to the chamber. Remaining air is HEPA filtered and exits the enclosure at E.
